To make this Statement true the students of grade 8 have shown there creativity during exhibition, which was a hard of one month and they have brought classroom into field. Students have demonstrated through there exhibit "Human Ingenuity" by showing how humans adapt to their geographical conditions and tackle the threats that these conditions sometimes pose. They have focused on the amazing innovations that Holland has continuously displayed in their fight with "water" due to their low lying geography. Flood management is also a very relevant topic for Jakarta as well.
For exhibition students have made models of the most important part of the "Delta Works:" projects. They have shown Maeslantkering and the Oosterscheldekering surge barriers. Both structures are considered as "engineering marvels" and protect Holland from floods. Windmills, which have water wheels, used for dredging and completed the model with the iconic tulips. They have also presented information about Dikes and Sand Dredging.
The phenomena of EL- Niño and LA -Nina was also discussed . This topic was presented with the two models. One of the models depicted the conditions during the EL Niño and other one, during La -Nina. They have shown global issue the causes, consequences of EL Niño and LA Niña. A beautiful model on effect of El Niño was shown through “Forest Fire in Indonesia”, Which is caused by mainly human intervention, by following subsistence farming, instead of model agricultural practices.
